01 Concept

Concept Design

  • Articulating the fundamental creative vision that guides the project's development. 

Facilities and Services Design

  • Designing guest and staff journeys with a primary emphasis on user experience to enhance the overall experience for both internal and external space users.

Operational Requirements for Architect Design

  • Establishing minimum program requirements and general recommendations for building areas and distribution patterns to align architecture with operational needs, identifying design elements that promote operational efficiency.

FF&E and Other Requirements

  • Providing a list of necessary furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), additional supplies, and special systems or operating equipment for budgeting purposes, organized by designated areas.*


02 Development

Design and Development Observations

  • Review of schematic and construction plans for feedback on operational and back of house flows.

  • Active participation in design team meetings and construction visits, providing continuous input throughout the process. 

Pre-Opening Budget and Operational Financial Forecast

  • Review of pre-opening budget and operational financial forecast for feedback on effective resource allocation.

Sourcing, Budgeting and Executing Operating Supplies and Equipment (OS&E) items

  • Close coordination with interior design company to facilitate proper documentation and tracking of items.

  • Creation of a spec book detailing the specifications, enhancing future procurement and ensuring that all supplies and equipment are accounted for and efficiently managed.


03 Pre-Opening

Operational Structure and Labor Budget

  • Defining, reviewing, and recommending an operational structure and labor budget based on the desired concept, service standards, and overall experience.

General Manager Recruiting Process

  • Designing and implementing a pre-evaluation technical skillset test and conducting the interview/filter process for the General Manager position.*

Pre-Opening Preparation

  • Establishing a list of recommended tasks by area.

  • Providing assistance in planning, reviewing, and coordinating tasks to ensure a smooth and efficient preparation for opening.

Planning and Execution of Opening

  • Synchronizing the transition from construction to operation to ensure a seamless and efficient operational launch, leading the proper implementation of the property concept and desired service standards.


04 Launch

Opening Supervision (initial two months of operation)

  • Addressing operational challenges and monitoring performance to implement required adjustments.

  • Coordinating closely with the project management company to address any unforeseen construction issues and manage warranties.

Yearly Operational Revision

  • Assessing and providing strategic recommendations for the operation based on business goals and guest experience objectives.
